I have started this new company, Lawrence Research Associates, to introduce the Management By Strengths team building program into Colorado. I saw this system implemented in Singapore to help Singaporeans, Chinese, Indians, Americans, and Danes form productive global teams. I have long been interested in how people communicate (or don't), and I earned a master's degree in applied psychology to help satisfy my curiosity. I have spent my career working in cross-functional teams in high tech industry, and have seen many projects slowed or stalled simply because people avoided communicating with each other. I became fascinated by this particular team building program, Management By Strengths, because it is the first "personality profile" program that actually caused me to change my behavior. It has been so easy to change my behavior to improve interactions work colleagues, as well as with people about whom I care.
